Wake Your Sleeping Giant

As we look around us, change is causing business owners to rethink the core of their
business mission. Within that change comes the necessity of reexamining ourselves.
We hear a lot about personal growth or personal development, there are numerous
books, seminars, workshops and coaching programs that want to help. But do we really
know what personal development means to us?

Recently as I was looking for discussion topics for meetings, I took a survey of Mind
Masters members. There were several business areas checked that stood out as areas
to develop, but I got stumped on the topic that many checked off called personal
development. So I went back to my business members, and asked what did personal
development mean to them? There was not a lot of specific feedback, so I asked did
they want to communicate better, delegate better, overcome some fears, become more
confident?

Sometimes there are vacancies within us that keep us stuck, we want to change but
often times we go at it from the surface. What does that mean? It means we are not
asking the right questions of ourselves. The conversations with ourselves need to be
about discovering the crucial stretches that are essential for our growth. If we are
resisting marketing, avoiding taking risks, communicating
with little excitement, or fearing rejection, these may be the questions we must answer
in order to discover a path past them.

Personal development is personal, only we know what inner giant is trying to come out
of us, but we must make the wake up call to all the untapped potential that lies within.
Only then will we seek the books, seminars etc. that will help guide the way to personal
growth and change. Take a look at how you can elevate your vision, not just a picture
of what you could be, do and have…It’s an appeal to elevate yourself…A
call to become something more, better and greater…

A challenge to go to a place mentally where you have never been and
emerge victorious.
